Aion 2 PvE Progression Guide: Build Stronger Gear Step by Step
Phase 1: Reach Level 45 and Build Your First Stable Setup (CP 0–900)
The early game moves fast, so your priority should be efficiency rather than perfection.
During leveling, avoid heavily investing into equipment that will quickly become obsolete. Many new players make the mistake of dumping rare enhancement stones into random blue items at level 25 or 30. Those upgrades become irrelevant very quickly.
Instead, focus on building a temporary but stable “generalist” setup.
Prioritize the Main Story
The yellow Episode Quests are your fastest source of progression. Push the main campaign aggressively until level 45. If you hit a difficult boss or damage check, pause briefly and do side activities for extra CP.
Most of your early strength comes naturally from:
- Story rewards
- Skill upgrades
- Basic enhancement levels
- Early accessories
Upgrade Your Core Skills Early
One of the biggest hidden power spikes comes from skill levels.
Try to raise your primary combat skills to level 8 as early as possible. Several skills gain meaningful stat scaling or improved efficiency at that point, especially for PvE grinding and boss fights.
A player with properly upgraded skills often performs far better than someone with slightly higher gear.
Your First Major Goal: 900 CP
By the time you finish the main campaign and ascension content, your goal should be roughly 900 CP.
A common baseline setup includes:
- Gold campaign weapon
- +10 main weapon
- Noble Belt
- Blue Revelation Amulet
This setup is enough to begin entering the real progression systems that open after level 45.
Phase 2: Horizontal Progression Systems (CP 900–1400)
This is where many players slow down.
After level 45, Aion 2 stops being purely vertical progression. Your power now comes from multiple smaller systems working together.
Ignoring these systems makes dungeon progression extremely difficult later.
Focus on Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds
Sealed Dungeons are extremely important because they provide Daevanion progression materials.
Your main target here is the Daevanion Skill Tree.
When spending points, offensive orange-tier stats usually provide the best value for PvE progression. Extra damage scaling helps far more than defensive stats during this stage.
Strongholds are also important because they drop enhancement materials tied to your Noble Belt progression.
Upgrade Your Noble Belt Properly
The belt system becomes one of the most efficient long-term power sources.
The typical progression path looks like this:
- Enhance green belt to +10
- Use Substance Morph
- Upgrade into blue rarity
- Eventually transition into gold rarity
This scaling system gives surprisingly high CP gains for relatively manageable investment.
A lot of experienced players prioritize belt progression before chasing expensive armor upgrades.
Collect Monolith Feathers
Feather collection is easy to ignore, but it adds permanent account progression.
Explore starting regions and gather Monolith Feathers whenever possible. Turning them in rewards:
- Skill points
- Revelation Amulet enhancement materials
- Passive stat boosts
These upgrades accumulate slowly, but they make a huge difference later.
Enhance Evenly Instead of Gambling
One of the smartest progression habits is balanced enhancement.
Instead of pushing one armor piece to a very high enhancement level, upgrade everything gradually:
- All armor to +1
- Then all to +2
- Then +3
This gives much better CP efficiency per resource spent.
It also reduces the pain of bad enhancement luck.
Phase 3: Dungeon Farming and Arcana Progression (CP 1400–1700)
Once you enter this range, the game becomes heavily dungeon-focused.
Now your objective changes from “surviving” into farming proper gold equipment and long-term progression materials.
Farm the Fire Temple Expedition
The Expedition version of Fire Temple is one of the best value dungeon farms in the game.
Why players farm it constantly:
- Only costs 30 Oda Energy
- No entry tickets required
- Good gold item drop rate
- Reliable enhancement stones
- Strong kina income
Even when you outgrow some drops, the resource efficiency remains excellent.
For many players, this dungeon becomes the backbone of early endgame farming.
Unlock the Arcana Card System
Around 1650 CP, you should begin running Transcendence timed dungeons consistently.
Your immediate objective is collecting Arcana Cards.
The early optimization strategy is simple:
- Equip 5 cards
- Upgrade all of them to green rarity first
This alone can add around 180–200 Gear Score very quickly.
Many players underestimate how large this boost actually is.
Because card progression is relatively consistent, it becomes one of the most reliable sources of account growth during midgame.
Phase 4: Transition Into Real Endgame PvE Gear (CP 1700–2400+)
This is where true long-term gearing begins.
Dungeon drops are useful, but eventually they stop being enough for high-end PvE content.
If you want to clear harder raids and zones like Vakron’s Sky Island efficiently, crafted PvE sets become mandatory.
Why Crafted Gear Matters So Much
Crafted PvE gear is powerful because it contains built-in PvE bonuses that ordinary dungeon gear lacks.
High-end crafted sets such as:
- True Dragon sets
- White Dragon sets
provide additional:
- PvE Damage
- PvE Tolerance
The bonus may seem small on paper, but once stacked across multiple pieces, the damage increase becomes enormous in difficult encounters.
This is the real reason top-end players eventually move away from temporary dungeon gear.
Never Throw Away Gold Drops
A common mistake is selling unwanted gold or unique items for quick currency.
Do not do this.
Instead, save them for the Soulbinding system.
Soulbinding allows you to:
- Fuse equipment
- Re-roll traits
- Improve sub-stat quality
- Optimize final crafted gear
Even bad drops can become valuable crafting fuel later.
Prioritize the Correct PvE DPS Stats
When optimizing your endgame PvE setup, some stats scale much better than others.
The strongest offensive priorities are usually:
- Weapon Damage Boost
- Might
- Combat Speed
- Multi-Hit Chance
These stats scale especially well during longer boss encounters and high-level dungeon farming.
Pure CP alone becomes less important at this stage than actual combat efficiency.
A player with optimized offensive traits will often outperform someone with higher raw CP but weaker stat distribution.
Important Long-Term Progression Systems
| Progression System | Main Source | Main Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Noble Belt Upgrades | Strongholds | Morph rarity progression |
| Revelation Amulet | Monolith Feathers | Permanent stat growth |
| Daevanion Skills | Sealed Dungeons | Passive offensive scaling |
| Arcana Cards | Transcendence Dungeons | Fast CP increases |
| Crafted PvE Sets | Crafting & Shugo rewards | PvE Damage and Tolerance bonuses |
| Soulbinding | Duplicate gold gear | Trait optimization |
PvE progression in Aion 2 is really about patience and efficiency.
The players who grow strongest are usually not the ones forcing risky upgrades or chasing random drops. They are the players steadily progressing through every system:
- Balanced enhancements
- Daily dungeon farming
- Arcana upgrades
- Belt evolution
- Daevanion progression
- Long-term crafted gear optimization
