U4GM Tips for Finding Air Freshener in Arc Raiders
Air Fresheners in Arc Raiders are easy to miss when you're sprinting through loot routes, but the item matters more than its size suggests, especially once projects and crafting start asking for random trinkets. If you've been sorting junk for upgrades, keep an eye on ARC Raiders BluePrints while you're at it, since the same kind of scavenger habit usually pays off when you're chasing mechanical loot and project items.
Where the item actually turns up
The most consistent place I've seen for Air Fresheners is the car-heavy highway near Checkpoint on Blue Gate. Don't just run past the vehicles and assume the loot is in crates nearby; these can sit on the car seats, which makes them a little annoying to spot if you're moving too fast. That route feels better than most because you can chain several checks in a short loop instead of wandering across a whole map for one tiny trinket.
Air Fresheners are tagged as Mechanical loot, so the search pattern makes sense once you stop treating them like a normal container drop. In practice, that means vehicle zones and other Mechanical-marked spots are your best bets. The spawn can still feel pretty random, though, so a "good" route is really just a route with more chances, not a guaranteed pickup.
Other spots worth checking
Besides Blue Gate, there are a few other places players keep bumping into them. The Robotic Sandbox on Stella Montis can work, and the Power Generation Complex on Dam Battlegrounds is another place to sweep. You may also find them in other Mechanical-marked areas across the maps, but I wouldn't expect every run to give you anything useful.
- Check every car seat on the Blue Gate highway before leaving the area.
- Prioritize Mechanical-tagged loot zones instead of general supply buildings.
- Do a fast loop and reset rather than camping one unlucky spot too long.
- Do not rely on the Dam Battlegrounds apartments as your main farm anymore.
Why players keep farming it
Air Fresheners are not just random junk for the stash. They are needed for the Converging Paths project, which means players who care about progression will eventually want one in hand. They also show up in the crafting requirement for Flame Spray, alongside a Fireball Burner. So even if you have no immediate use, keeping one around can save you from another scavenging run later. That kind of item always feels more annoying when you need it on demand.
Best fallback when RNG refuses to help
If the usual routes dry up, the safest fallback is to keep checking Mechanical areas until Ermal stocks the trinket again. That said, I'd still farm the Blue Gate highway first, because it gives you the cleanest chance-to-time ratio. For players who hate wasting runs on empty pockets, the move is simple: sweep the car seats, hit the other Mechanical spots if you have room in the route, and if none of that works, buy ARC Raiders BluePrints only after you've already done the sensible scavenging passes that usually make the item show up.
