MLB The Show 26 New June Content Drop Rewards Explained
June has been absolutely massive for MLB The Show 26. Sony Interactive Entertainment has given us a massive double-feature content drop that has completely shaken up Diamond Dynasty squads. Between the Legends & Flashbacks Collection on June 12 and the Summer Series/June Spotlight drop on June 18, we have an avalanche of elite Red Diamond player items, heavy-hitting switch batters, and fresh programs to grind out.
If your squad is looking a bit stale, it is time to build up those stubs and start locking in cards. Here is the complete breakdown of the new June rewards and exactly how you can get them into your lineup.
The Heavy Hitters: Major Collections
If you have been saving up cards and hoarding vouchers, these big collections are where you want to spend them. We are talking about endgame-level talent dropping right before the heat of summer.
99 OVR Awards Victor Martinez (1B/C)
The premier prize of the June 12 Legends & Flashbacks Collection is a certified monster. For anyone needing an elite backstop or a steady bat at first, this switch-hitting powerhouse boasts 115+ contact numbers and 100+ power from both sides of the plate (including a ridiculous 125 contact and 116 power against lefties). He handles the clutch moments beautifully with a 118 clutch rating.
-
How to unlock: Head over to the Collect tab and look for the Awards Victor Martinez Collection. You will need to collect 24 Series Vouchers to claim him. The good news? The setup allows you to skip exactly one voucher series if there is a specific grind you are avoiding.
Red Diamond Ted Williams & 98 OVR Tarik Skubal
The June 18 Summer Series Collection brought back a certified legend. The ultimate reward here is Ted Williams, who brings one of the purest, most glitchy left-handed swings in baseball history back to Diamond Dynasty. If you are building out the collection, you will also hit the 98 OVR Summer Series Tarik Skubal right at the front of the tier, giving you an elite, high-leverage pitching option to lead your rotation.
-
How to unlock: You unlock these rewards by gathering and locking in the new Summer Series cards dropped across various game modes this month. Collecting 21 cards gets you Williams, while pushing to 29 unlocks Skubal.
Program & Diamond Quest Rewards
If collections are a bit too steep for your current inventory, SDS has given us plenty of paths to earn elite cards just by playing the game.
Summer Program Headliners: Corey Seager & Corey Kluber
The new Summer Program features a pair of incredible Red Diamond tier rewards that you can slide straight into your competitive lineup. The 99 OVR Corey Seager represents one of the strongest, most dependable left-handed bats you can put at shortstop, while the 99 OVR Corey Kluber immediately slides into the top-10 meta for starting pitchers thanks to his devastating mix and high-end control.
June Spotlight: 96 OVR Braden Montgomery (OF)
Serving as the final reward for the June Spotlight Program (Drop 2), Montgomery is a five-tool budget beast. He provides beautifully balanced hitting attributes that flirt with 90+ across the board, a highly coveted switch-hitting profile, and a maxed-out 99 arm strength attribute that will keep opponents from testing your luck in the outfield.
Diamond Quest Update: Dick Allen & Gary Sheffield
The newly updated Diamond Quest path features 95 OVR versions of Dick Allen and Gary Sheffield. This is a special drop because it marks the very first instance this year where SDS has featured two Red Diamond cards in a single Diamond Quest drop. Both guys absolutely tear the cover off the ball and provide massive right-handed pop.
Packs, Events, and Offline Grinds
For the grinders who prefer offline play, battle-royale style events, or just ripping open a few reward packs, there is a ton of hidden value buried in the rest of the June updates.
-
June Spotlight Packs: Keep an eye out for these in the shop or program paths. They feature pullable top-tier prospects including 96 OVR Blaze Jordan and 96 OVR Bryce Eldridge, alongside high-potential Topps Now items like Chase Petty, Collin Price, and Pedro Ramirez.
-
Summer Break Event: If you like taking your squad online, jump into the Event matchmaking. Progressing through the online Event program path will reward you with a very solid Summer Series Roman Anthony.
-
Summer Mini Seasons: For the offline crowd, the new Mini Seasons challenge is a 28-game grind that is well worth your time. Finishing the season rewards you with a 95 OVR Jeremy Burnitz, but you will also pass intermediate tiers along the way to collect great depth pieces like Tony Fernandez, Mike Napoli, and Carlos Rodón.
-
"Dad" Father's Day Conquest Map: Grab your favorite high-perks pitcher and conquer this extensive, 14-game map. Beating it yields a gorgeous Milestone Series Bo Bichette, a 93 OVR Zach Neto, and a handful of deluxe pack drops to boost your collection count.
